Terms of Service

These are the terms for using Commissioner's Cockpit (“the Service”), run by [[YOUR LEGAL NAME OR LLC]]. They're written to be read, not decoded — but they're still a contract. By creating a league in the Service or paying for a plan, you agree to them.

1. What this is

Commissioner's Cockpitconnects to a Sleeper fantasy football league using Sleeper's public API, reads that league's public data (rosters, matchups, transactions, standings, and similar), and generates written content about it — weekly recaps, power rankings, previews, and related material. That content can be emailed to league members and shown on a per-league dashboard.

2. Not affiliated with Sleeper, ESPN, Yahoo, or the NFL

Commissioner's Cockpitis an independent, unofficial companion product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way officially connected to Sleeper, ESPN, Yahoo, the National Football League, or any of their affiliates. All league data is read through Sleeper's public API under the terms Sleeper makes that data available. Any team names, league names, or player names that appear in generated content belong to their respective owners and are used only to describe your own league's public data back to you.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Access or attempt to access a Sleeper league you don't run or have permission to represent.
• Harass, defame, or target a real person outside the ordinary spirit of fantasy-football trash talk.
• Abuse, scrape, or overload the Service or Sleeper's API beyond normal use of one league.
• Resell, white-label, or redistribute the Service itself without our written permission.
• Use the Service to break any law that applies to you.

We can suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate this section, at our discretion, with or without notice.

4. AI-generated content

Recaps, previews, roasts, and other written content are generated automatically by an AI model, seeded with your league's real data and any persona notes the commissioner adds. That means:

• It can contain errors, misread a stat, or misjudge a joke.
• It is written to be funny at league members' expense in the normal way fantasy football commentary is — that can land as unflattering, and occasionally as unwelcome, humor.
• The commissioner who configures a league is responsible for reviewing and for what they choose to send or show to their league. If a recap isn't fit to send, hold it back.

We don't review generated content before it goes out. Nothing generated by the Service should be treated as fact, advice, or an official league ruling.

5. Accounts & league ownership

A Sleeper league can be connected to one Cockpit account at a time. The first person who claims a league in the Service — by signing in and connecting it — owns that league record here, and is treated as its commissioner for billing and settings purposes. We don't verify Sleeper league-admin status beyond what Sleeper's API reports; if two people from the same league both try to claim it, first claim wins. If you believe a league was claimed by the wrong person, contact us at support@commissionerscockpit.com.

League members whose data appears in the Service (display names, team names, and anything else the commissioner enters about them) do not need — and typically don't have — their own account. They receive emailed content and can unsubscribe from it at any time; see the Privacy Policy for detail on what's stored about them.

6. Payment terms

Commissioner's Cockpitis sold as a one-time, seasonal fee per league — not an auto-renewing subscription. Paying for a season unlocks the paid features (recaps, previews, and related generated content) for that season's length, or for whatever term is stated on the plan you purchase. It does not automatically renew or automatically charge again the following season. Prices, plan terms, and what's included may change between seasons; the terms in effect at the time of purchase apply to that purchase. See the Refund Policy for how refunds work.

7. Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time. We can suspend or terminate a league's access to the Service — including for violations of Section 3, non-payment, or abuse of Sleeper's API through our system — with notice where practical. If we terminate a paid league's access without cause, our Refund Policy still applies to any unused portion of the paid term.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including, without limitation, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated content will be accurate, appropriate, or available at any particular time. Sleeper's API is a third-party dependency outside our control; if it changes, rate-limits us, or goes down, the Service may be degraded or unavailable.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, [[YOUR LEGAL NAME OR LLC]] will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, goodwill, or league harmony, arising out of or related to your use of the Service — even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [[YOUR STATE]], without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising under these terms will be handled in the courts located in [[YOUR STATE]], and you consent to that jurisdiction.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Service changes. If we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
